Even the cleanest homes can at some point get those little pesky ants. Here are a few ways to help you to get rid of those indoor ants.
The first thing you will want to do is to try to find the source that is attracting the ants. A dirty dish in the sink, a cat or dog food dish, or even a drip on a jar can attract those ants. First, try to clean the area where you found the ants, and then hopefully the ants will just move out on their own.
The second thing you will want to try is to spray the area down with a solution of one part vinegar to three parts water to eliminate scouting ants’ trails. You cannot simply wipe the ants away in these areas because scouting ants leave behind pheromones so that other ants can find these trails.
The last thing you can try is to try to repel the ants from returning. You can spray the ants’ entry points into your home with a natural mixture of lavender or peppermint oil, which ants hate, and water. Or you can use a product spray that contains boric acid, just make sure to read the label carefully because they may contain harmful chemicals to pets and children.
These are just a few ways to help you to get rid of those ants.
