There are many common houseplants that are considered toxic to your pets if ingested. If you don’t want to go plant free in your home, here are a few examples of houseplants that are considered to be non-toxic to your pet.

Ponytail palm plants are considered non-toxic. These plants require bright light and are very easy to maintain. Another palm that is non-toxic is a parlor palm. This palm requires bright indirect light. Some other houseplants that are considered non-toxic and require bright light are the spider plant and the money tree plant. The last example of a non-toxic houseplant is rosemary. Many people may think this is just an herb, but rosemary makes a nice houseplant. Not only does rosemary look attractive and smell nice, but there are many other uses for rosemary. Just watch your pets around the rosemary, because they may want to chew on this houseplant too much.

These are just a few houseplants that are considered non-toxic. If you are unsure if your houseplant is non-toxic, there is a lot of information online about which plants are toxic or not. And just keep in mind too, that even though a plant may be considered non-toxic to your pets, the plant may still cause your pet to get sick if ingested.
